Concocting a winning recipe for its signature Pork Bone Soup, 八方雲集豬骨煲 Ba Fang Yun Ji  Steamboat is bound to attract a legion of steamboat fans who are seeking tasty hotpot with quality ingredients at a very affordable price. Situated at the neighbourhood of Taman Seraya not too far away from Look Out Point, Ampang, the three-month old restaurant offers a wide-ranging menu for their customers to choose from. “Our pork bone soup is prepared daily while the meat balls are homemade”, Albert Ya said. Overseeing the restaurant’s daily operation, Albert mentioned that the restaurant strives to provide quality ingredients while keeping the prices at a very reasonable rate.

“Our Signature Pork Bone Soup for example, only costs RM 16.00 per pot. Customers can refill the soup till their heart (or in this case, stomach) is content”, he pointed out. A quick glance on its menu reveals that the most expensive steamboat item (Fresh Prawns) only costs RM 16.00 for a large serving while the rest of the steamboat ingredients such as scallops, squids and meat slices are relatively inexpensive.

The highlight at 八方雲集豬骨煲 Ba Fang Yun Ji Steamboat is none other than its Signature Pork Bone Soup. The taste was brimming with a myriad of ingredients that were used to boil it with for hours. While Albert was tight-lipped about its recipe, the soup complimented the steamboat ingredients very well. “It gets even better when you boil it with the rest of the steamboat items”, he smiled. True enough, I was hooked to the taste as its flavour slowly unveiled into a sumptuously rich and addictive-tasting pot of soup as more steamboat ingredients were thrown into the mix. 八方雲集豬骨煲 Ba Fang Yun Ji Steamboat also offer Traditional Thai Tom Yam Soup (RM 16.00) per pot for those looking for a spicier kick.

Albert also pointed out that the beef and lamb slices (RM 11.00 each) are imported from Australia. “We want our customers to enjoy great food here. As a matter of fact, our staff will go to different markets everyday to source for quality ingredients rather than having a fix supplier to deliver them to us”, he said.
